Last weekend we did a wonderful Autumn inspired wedding. The lovely Bride gave us a fabulous brief, something orange please! So this is what we did!

Hi all,
I know I have been a bit quiet! We were all on Holiday in glorious California! The flowers there are stunning, I have seen things growing in the wild, which we struggle to grow in the UK, how fustrating! Glorious blooms and some of the arrangements in the hotels were amazing, it has given me some fab ideas for next season! I will post some pics when I have figured out how to get them off my camera!

A few weeks ago, a friend recommended a book, The Language of Flowers, by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. Hmmm, I thought, not sure about this, anyway, it turned out to be a great read, and I would thoroughly recommend it on to you!
After reading, it made me wonder about the flowers we chose for the wedding bouquets.We tend to go for colour instead of meaning now, thankfully a lot of the flowers to choose have wonderful romantic meanings, Roses, Lily of the Valley etc,
Take a look at the book, you’ll enjoy it !

A little bit of sparkle does you good I find!
I love a bit of sparkle don’t you? Diamante pins in the centre of roses look very pretty when they catch the light, and add a bit of “Bling” !
We created a gorgeous wedding on Saturday, and as part of the package we added a hand made heart with the Bride and Grooms Name and Wedding date, a momento of the day from us to you!

Inspiration

A few weeks ago I took my lovely daughters on a shopping trip to Nottingham. We had to visit that “famous University Outfitters” and this was their window display! I had to take a photo, much too the embarrassment of my daughters, and share it with you!
It is sooo on trend, and has given me inspiration for a couple of weddings I have this year, where they have asked for a vintage tea party theme.
We also had a Coffee and Cake morning this week at my studio, here in sunny Melton Mowbray, Leicesterhire. It all went beautifully, and as you can see, we had vintage china and a small display of Paper White daffodils and tulips. The wine box was a find in the cellar of a friends house, I think it looks fab!

Stapleford Park is a wonderful wedding venue near Melton Mowbray, just up the road form my Studio!
